Quartet for Woodwinds (2023)

Three movements; 7 min. ca; flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon

The composer writes: Is this quartet an arrangement of my Trio for Woodwinds? Yes, but not in the conventional sense. To create my Quartet for Woodwinds, I essentially added a whole new voice to the piece (especially in the outer movements), with new pitches. This was possible because the harmonic language of the trio is expressed implicitly, and in the quartet version I have added the necessary notes to make what is implicit explicit.
