On November 27, 2011, I launched my second website, the Big List of Classical Music Blogs. Response to the BLCMB was immediate and impressive: on the first day, the site was receiving 200 hits an hour.
The idea was born one day when I searched for a good online directory of classical music blogs, and couldn’t find one. So I decided to create my own. Also, to be honest, part of my initial motivation was the desire to direct more traffic to my own blog. But the project soon grew to the point where it became an end in itself.
I launched the site with over 300 listings of blogs and online magazines: it is, I believe, the largest directory of classical music blogs currently available on the internet. And it continues to grow, as I find more suitable blogs to include, and as people submit suggestions to me on a daily basis.
