The tenth Toronto Summer Music festival opens tonight, at Koerner Hall. Over the last decade, the annual event has made itself an indispensable item on the classical music calendar – and it’s hard to image there was a time when it was widely believed that a summer chamber music festival in Toronto was an impossibility.
